Baba Baldev Das was one of the most evolved spiritual leaders of his time. He was born in the year 1877 in a small village called Narhar in the district of Jhunjunu, Rajasthan. He was the youngest child of Maa Ananadi Devi and Shri Purushottam Das. Since childhood, he was very inclined towards religious and spiritual activities.
When he was 19 years old in the year 1898, he came down to Malsisar, another small town in Rajasthan and engaged himself with temples and establishments in the surrounding areas to offer his services for serving the Almighty.
In 1911, he moved to Mandrella in the district of Jhunjunu, and decided to stay there with the intent to spread the knowledge and wisdom among the people residing there and in nearby areas. He was joined there by ‘Jagle Ki Maa’ for carrying out his spiritual tasks. After her death, Maa Banasa, a devotee from a royal family, gave up all her lavish lifestyle to join Baba Baldeo Das in the pursuit of self- enlightenment. In 1938, Baba Baldeo Das came to Jasidih (Deoghar), Jharkhand along with Maa Banasa to spread the message of spiritualism and to do tapasya. The place where he lived in Jasidih is called Araam Bhavan, still a place of worship visited by thousands of his devotees every year.
Baba Baldeo Das was truly an enlightened soul who gave up all the worldly affairs and was able to realise and attain the divinity at a very young age. Currently, he has lakhs of devotees who still follow the path shown by him.
